Description

CORE (Critical Operations Resilience Education) is an eight-week professional certificate program designed for emerging professionals and those already responsible for keeping essential services operating when disruption occurs.

Developed by Ryme Integration and accredited through Florida International University, CORE brings together professionals from industry, utilities, emergency management, law enforcement, the military, and other critical infrastructure sectors to examine how essential systems depend on one another and what happens when those systems are disrupted.

Course Details

Format: Live, Instructor-Led Virtual Training
Duration: 8 Weeks
Start Date: October 28, 2026
End Date: December 23, 2026
Detailed Schedule: Session times and additional course details will be provided to registered participants.

What You’ll Learn

CORE prepares participants to understand and respond to complex infrastructure disruptions through:

  • Critical infrastructure dependencies and interdependencies
  • Single points of failure and cascading impacts
  • National risk and resilience frameworks
  • Mission assurance
  • Continuity of operations
  • Legal authorities and responsibilities
  • Cross-sector coordination and information sharing
  • Prioritization when multiple systems are affected simultaneously

Cyber incidents are addressed as one of several threats to critical infrastructure, alongside physical attacks, severe weather, insider threats, and other disruptive events. Rather than teaching participants how to investigate or remediate a cyber intrusion, CORE focuses on understanding what breaks downstream, what matters most, and who needs to act.

The eight-week program culminates in a compound-event tabletop exercise, giving participants an opportunity to apply what they have learned to a realistic scenario requiring coordination and decision-making across multiple sectors.

Who Should Attend?

CORE is designed for:

  • Professionals: Industry, utilities, private-sector organizations, and professionals responsible for critical infrastructure, resilience, continuity, security, or operations.
  • Public Service: Law enforcement, emergency management, first responders, military personnel, and other public-sector professionals.
  • Students: Individuals currently enrolled in courses at a college or university who are preparing to enter critical infrastructure, emergency management, public safety, resilience, or a related field.
